New Student Orientation

Welcome to Eastern Kentucky University's Manchester Regional Campus. We are excited that you will be joining us at the Manchester Campus. We look forward to working with you and making your educational journey a smooth one.
The Regional Campus Colonel Commitment fee is $50. Students who attend a Manchester Campus Orientation will have the $50 fee charged to their fall 2023 bill.
All new students planning to attend the Manchester Regional Campus must register for a New Student Orientation at Manchester.
Fall 2023
New Student | Transfer Student: Orientation & Placement Testing
EKU's Orientation Program is a requirement for all new students. A new student is any student attending college for the first time or a transfer student with twelve hours or less.
Students taking classes at the Manchester campus must attend an Orientation session in Manchester. During this Orientation you will have the opportunity to:
- Take a tour of the Manchester campus
- Meet the Manchester staff
- Be advised & register for classes
- Receive valuable information to get you started on a great path to a successful EKU career.
Orientation sessions last for approximately three hours. Parents/Guardians are welcome, but not required to attend.

Students with ACT scores below 18 in English, below 19 in mathematics, or below 20 in reading may take placement tests to help ensure appropriate course placement. If you are interested in taking placement exams, please contact Kristy Hampton at kristy.hampton@eku.edu or 606-598-8122.

Special Assistance
Parents, guests, or students requiring specific accommodations should contact the Center for Student Accessibility (CSA) at (859) 622-2933 at least one week prior to the event.
