EKU’s Next Generation Summer Camp for Gifted, Talented and High Achieving Students
EKU Manchester to host the inaugural EKU’s Next Generation Summer Camp for Gifted, Talented and High Achieving Students on June 10-12, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. The 3-day learning experience will enrich students in math, science, art and health through various classes ranging from Destination Imagination, CSI, Science on the Move, Art as Expression and Mystery Island. The event will include incoming students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 from Clay, Jackson, Leslie and Lee county schools. The camp is part of EKU’s Center for Appalachian Regional Engagement and Stewardship (CARES). CARES strives to improve EKU's relationship with and service to the Appalachian region of Kentucky and the university's 22-county area of geographic responsibility.
